Shed Red is a non-profit organization that employs a 360-degree approach to address menstrual inequity. Our mission consists of three distinct pillars: empowering communities by equipping individuals with feminine hygiene products, inspiring agents of change, and dispelling the stigma surrounding this topic.
Impact
As the co-founder of Shed Red, I have led the strategic growth of of the non-profit organization. Over time, my efforts have translated into:
- Raised over $2500 through a COVID-19 Relief Fund and distributed 5000+ menstrual hygiene products to 252 menstruators
- Held 10+ Red Talks, which are comprehensive, 45-minute community-based lectures to inspire 230+ high school students to become leaders in their own community and dismantle the stigma surrounding menstruation
- Spearheaded Shed Red’s social media platforms, aiming to destigmatize the topic of menstruation through thought-provoking content on our social media platforms to a follower base of 500+ individuals
- Developed partnerships with mission-aligned organizations within the community and held 5+ virtual screenings and webinars to educate individuals about period poverty
A period should end a sentence. Not one's pursuit of success.
